The presbytery offers a variety of events in many ministry areas throughout the year. From retreats and camps to workshops and fellowship, there is something going on all the time! Check this space regularly for presbytery sponsored events as well as information about programs at local churches.

Presbyterian Home for Children Thrift Store 
Monthly Donation Day at SVPC
The next collection date is Saturday, October 6. Bring your usable discards, gently used clothing, etc., to the Presbyterian Home for Children’s reception center in the rear parking lot, below the playground of Shades Valley Presbyterian Church. Terry Tingle will be serving as host. Volunteers will be on hand to unload your vehicle and to give you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. The center will be open from 8 AM – 12 noon. Our Presbytery Youth Council had a great leadership retreat and are excited about this year! Please spread the word about our fall retreat and begin registration!

First, Tuscaloosa will be hosting a Godly Play training workshop for our children’s ministry October 26-28. More details to come!

Location: Living River
Leaders and Pastors who may wish to come to Living River on Friday to spend the night need to make their reservations now with Beth Anthony. Her contact information is: 205/208-0035, ext. 704 or office@livingriver.org. Cost for this overnight stay and breakfast on Saturday is at your expense.
