The presbytery offers a variety of events in many ministry areas throughout the year. From retreats and camps to workshops and fellowship, there is something going on all the time! Check this space regularly for presbytery sponsored events as well as information about programs at local churches.

Presbyterian Home for Children Thrift Store 

Monthly Donation Day at SVPC

The next collection date is Saturday, August 3. Bring your usable discards, gently used clothing, etc., to the Presbyterian Home for Children’s reception center in the rear parking lot, below the playground of Shades Valley Presbyterian Church. Volunteers will be on hand to unload your vehicle and to give you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. The center will be open from 8 AM – 12 noon. BOARD OF PENSIONS TO HOST BENEFITS OVERVIEWS IN AUGUST!

Keenan Rodgers, Associate Church Consultant for the Board of Pensions, will host Benefits Overviews for employers and employees on August 14th to provide key information about the benefits the Board provides. Whether you make decisions about benefits for church staff or receive benefits from the Board of Pensions, there is a gathering for you. Light refreshments will be provided at both events.

Immanuel is hosting an event on August 24th for church leaders who are interested in ways to welcome children (and their families) who have special learning needs.

Presbyterian Heritage Tour of Scotland

September 12-22, 2019

Independent Presbyterian Church in Birmingham is planning a Presbyterian Heritage Tour of Scotland for September 12-22, 2019, which will begin in Edinburgh and end in Glasgow with many places of beauty, interest and fun along the way. We would welcome members of other churches in our presbytery who might be interested in joining us for this tour! If you have an interest, please contact The Rev. Come join us as we travel to the land of kirks, kilts, and kelpies!

Big Tent 2019 dates and location announced

Baltimore, Maryland has been selected as the location for Big Tent 2019. The event will be held August 1-3 at the adjacent downtown Radisson and Lord Baltimore Hotels. Click here for more information.
