Discovery Camp is the perfect place for youth who have completed 4th through 8th grades. This year it will be at Living River!  Campers will enjoy outdoor activities such as canoeing, hiking, swimming, outdoor recreation, picnics, and more each day.

Phyllis Ward

Phyllis Ward is the Director of Christian Education at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Montgomery.  She LOVES camp and is so excited about being at Living River this summer.  Phyllis believes that camp is one of the best places to enjoy God through people and creation.

Shelaine Bird

Shelaine Bird is a Birmingham native who has served the PC (USA) as a pastor, chaplain and teacher in GA, AZ, MI and AL. She has recently specialized in Transitional Ministry and believes Change isn’t just necessary, it can be joyful.  She has a 5 year old son and 10 year old daughter. Her family has now rescued 3 homeless miniature dachshunds (who now think they’re kids too!).  Shelaine is thrilled to spend a week with kids at Living River this summer!
