Congratulations to Dr. Judy Rogers (Montevallo Presbyterian) of Living River Board who was given the Kae Canon Allen Memorial Award at the Cahaba Lily Festival in West Blocton. The award is given each year by The Nature Conservancy and the Bibb County Citizens for Wildflowers to individuals who have contributed to the environmental development of Bibb County. A well-deserved award for a very special person. Also present and speaking at the Festival was our very own Betty Angelini, who in the midst of all that is going on at Living River, chose to spend the morning meeting and talking with our good friends in Bibb County. AND she got to indulge in the incredible potluck lunch provided by terrific Bibb county cooks. What a spread. And Mallory Pendleton of the CEC staff was at the Cahaba river answering questions and directing visitors to see the lillies. Living River was incredibly well represented on this important day in Bibb County.
