We are thrilled to announce that Dr. William Yoo author of A History of Slavery and Anti-Black Racism in the Presbyterian Church will be our guest presenter. Discussion of his book will be facilitated by Rev. Gregory Bentley. You do not have to have read the book to participate. Having read his work and heard Dr. Yoo’s lecture prior, Rev. Bentley said, “I thank God for what you have done and I hope the church receives and acts on this in a faithful way. It’s up to us if we repent and repair what’s been done or go the way of all flesh.”
Due to the number of registrations we have already received we have had to move the event to Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church and change the time to Monday, August 21st from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. For those that registered for an overnight stay at Living River, you will be refunded your registration cost.
Lunch will be available for $10.00 (cash or check made payable to the Presbytery).
This retreat is for the entire Presbytery and satisfies the required Anti-Racism training. Pastors are encouraged to sign up and share this opportunity with their congregation, staff, and colleagues. Register with the link below.
